Story
The Tournament (revamped)
A Tournament where great fighters come from all around the world to compete is held in a grand city. The tournament is held every four years spanning hundreds of years. The tournament is seen as the best in the world, the prestige of the fighting world. The city that holds the event has elevated city platforms where the rich villagers live on, their homes are more structured and much more organised. The lower part of the city is where the poorer people live, littered with rubbish, less structure and organisation.
A boy from the rich part of the city trains for the tournament. His trainer is a fragile old man, who works with magic, much of the magic is dark, but rarely shows it. He is, very calm and moves slowly but with precision and distinctive movements. He has an unusual history that is unknown to many, even the boy. He lives in the ruins.
The boy is arrogant and hot headed, he is in his teens, and lets his anger and impatience take over in heat of battles. By entering the competition he has a chance of winning the grand prize, a diamond amulet worth thousands of Monies and to prove his strength and fighting capabilities. However, the old man also wants the amulet so wants to help the boy to win it; unfortunately he has other uses for it.
As the boy progresses to the final of the tournament, he faces a very formidable opponent, one who has won the tournament four times and hopes to make it his fifth. During the fight the boy starts to waver and barely holds on, until the old man interferes. He casts a spell over the boy giving him exponentially immense amount of strength. The boy easily disposes of the opponent with one swipe, but the boy loses control and starts to attack the fans and security.
The old man sees this as an opportunity to steal the diamond amulet. Before he leaves he stops the boy from his massacre, using his magic. The villagers witness this heroic effort from the old man and decide to make him an honorary leader of the city.
Or the old man doesn’t steal it, instead, by getting his ‘hero’ status after defeating the rampaging boy he is rewarded with the diamond Amulet.
The boy is banished from the city by the old man. He would rather not kill him due to the boy not being much of a threat to the old man.
His eyes slowly open as the sun beats down on his body; getting up he looks around him with tired eyes. He is in a barren desert, nothing but sand, from here his journey begins, to find out how to get back to the city, and to take revenge on the old man…
Game on!!!
